About us

The innovator Sture Kahlman from FjÀllbacka is a product developer with many patents behind him. 30 years ago, he developed a metal screw pile that would strengthen the foundations of leaning houses in Old Town, Stockholm, a well-functioning solution!

When he then built a 30-meter jetty at his boathouse and saw the environmental consequences of this – discharges into the marine environment from impregnated piles and siltation of the sediments. Sture became determined to do something about it and went back to his old idea of making hollow piles with threads – this time in composite. Using the technique he learned about threading; he designed a pile with optimal threads at the bottom end along with threads just below the sediment surface. It became a perfect solution to transfer large horizontal and axial forces to the surrounding material while the composite structure is not degraded by biological activity or erosion.

In 2024 Sture’s son, Johan Kahlman, had the opportunity to get involved in the business. Johan has a background as a conservation biologist and has previously worked with nature value assessments and environmental issues. Drive and commitment to change and meet the challenges of climate change and the loss of biological diversity have always been guiding stars in Johan’s work.

In recent years, Sture and Johan have worked together to create the most sustainable anchoring in marine environments – for people, the environment and the economy.
